If you have read the About section of this blog you will know that I’m a huge fan of personal mission statements. I feel like this simple statement helps guide my interaction with everyone I encounter. Yes, this would also include family, friends, co-workers, customers, prospective customers, and tire kickers.  It’s the personal equivalent to a companies mission statement or reason for being in business.

My Personal mission statement is:

Provide Value First

Here’s what it means… Go the extra mile, do the extra work, write the extra email, make the extra call, spend a few more minutes, ask more questions, read more articles, and think about others FIRST.

All too often companies are looking for their next sale instead of focusing on growing their business. Believe me it’s much easier to grow your business with an army of happy customers that will take reference phone calls, answer customer questions, and refer clients to you year after year.
